Virginia Beach Town Center Mixed-Use Expansion
Town Center developer Armada Hoffler’s newest $30.7 million expansion will include a nine-story apartment building with ground-level retail and a restaurant between the Westin Hotel and the Cosmopolitan apartments. Michael Zeiders, founder of Zeiders Enterprises, is investing $7.6 million to build a 300-seat theater on the second floor of the new building. The City will invest in a staircase, elevators, landscaping and a pedestrian bridge over Central Park Avenue, connecting the new building and the parking garage to the Cosmopolitan apartments. This adds to the existing success of Town Center that currently includes 19 restaurants, 800 apartments or condos, 412 hotel rooms, 190,000 square feet of shops and 815,000 square feet of office space.
